Good morning. I am new to the area and attempted to ride the Hwy 36 bike path from Louisville to Denver yesterday but the trail ended in Westminister. I continued riding a side road to Hwy 287 but could not find any other signage for how to continue into Denver.

I have looked but can’t locate information on:
    1. expected completion of the trail all the way to Denver; and
    2. any mapping that shows alternate routes into Denver where the trail currently ends

The Hwy 36 bike trail is AWESOME so I hope there are plans to extend it even further.

    Thanks….Don

    1. Hi Don. Sorry to take so long to get back to you. Yes. The Hwy 36 bike path does get a little difficult to follow once you reach a certain area in Westminster. But it does continue from there. Near 80th Ave, you will follow Bradburn Ave either on the low traffic road or on the very wide sidewalks. This will take you to England Park where you will join the Dry Creek Trail. In turn, this joins the Clear Creek Trail which eventually takes you to the Platte River Trail. From there, you can head on into Denver. However, it seems like there is perpetual construction along this route, and the detours are seldom well marked. Hope that helped. Let me know how it goes if you try the trail again.
