Currently, this is the Mt. Everest of bike trails, not in terms of difficulty but in terms of the ultimate bike route for active travelers. Many different companies offer this cycleway as part of their bike tour offerings including both self-guided and fully guided options. One popular method of tackling this great trail is via a bike and barge tour. Since there is so much to see and do on this tour, I have provided a link to the Danube Cycle Path (another name for the Danube CycleWay) with this listing. BTW, since this is such an epic bicycle route, it has the distinct honor of being the first international (outside the USA) trail added to Trailsnet.com
