Nebraska Rail Trail
The White River Trail is a fun rail trail that travels from Fort Robinson Nebraska to Crawford, Nebraska. Although slightly less than three miles long, this is a worthwhile trail to visit for history, scenery and enjoyable bike riding.
Fort Robinson History
The history around Fort Robinson is fascinating, and the town of Crawford is truly quaint. Stop in town for a cup of coffee, lunch or dinner. Carve out a couple hours to explore Fort Robinson. If you’re into hiking there are lots of fun trails that lead into the nearby hills. But they are not well marked, so you may want to ask for advice from park rangers.
Mickelson Rail Trail
If you’d like a longer bike ride, head north to the Mickelson Trail in South Dakota. It is truly a destination trail that ranks in the top twenty trails in the United Statess.
