I Can’t Find the Everytrail Website?
Everytrail.com seems to have disappeared. I was disappointed when I discovered this, because Everytrail was one of my favorite websites – favorite trail website and favorite all-around website. So let me start out by saying thanks to Chris and the rest of the gang at Everytrail for providing a great resource for trail fans worldwide.
What Happened to Everytrail?
Rumor has it that one of the big travel websites bought Everytrail. If that’s the case, then I hope the folks who started and (superbly) ran Everytrail were prosperous in the interaction. They deserve the best. I have tried to directly contact some of the main Everytrail developers but with no luck. If you have any idea what happened to Everytrail, I’d love to hear from you in the comments section below.
Is There a Replacement for Everytrail.com?
For a while, there was (what looked like) a temporary replacement site for the Everytrail website. But lately I haven’t been able to find that site either. So for now, I’d like to offer Trailsnet.com as a replacement to all you Everytrail fans out there. I wish Trailsnet was as comprehensive as Everytrail, and maybe someday we’ll get there. But in the meantime, if you searched for trails on Everytrail.com and especially if you added trails to Everytrail, please try out the Add a Trail feature on Trailsnet.com. It’s easy: just click on the Add A Trail link above. If you’re not already registered, the new and improved registration feature is quick and easy. Then adding a trail is simple too. Let’s see if we can build the biggest network of trails on the internet right here on Trailsnet.com.
Weekly Trail Blog Posts Now on Fridays
As you can see by today’s trailsnet blog post, Friday is the new trail blog day. I decided that Friday works better for all you weekend warriors that want your trail news and trail information before you head out to your favorite footpaths and cycleways. You might want to hang onto this post. It’ll be a collectors item someday. (-:
