No, the Sand Creek Trail gives you a glimpse of the backbone of industrial America. It's not always pretty, but it's always fascinating.
Now don't get me wrong; I've seen as much wildlife on this trail as any. Take a look at the picture entitled "Industrial strength deer" in this picture carousel (7th picture over) and it's clear that the animals aren't afraid to wander these byways. Nature coexists with the factories and neighborhoods. So in my mind, you'll see a mixture of both worlds on the Sand Creek Trail.
To find the trail, it's best to start on the Platte River Trail going north from Denver. As you are going north on the Platte River Trail, you'll come to the Sand Creek Trail, on your right (east), just before you cross Clear Creek and come to the Clear Creek Trail intersection. I have been told that you can make a large loop by connecting the Platte River Trail with the Sand Creek Trail and the Cherry Creek trail. I have never tried it, so I can't say for sure. It sounds like something to put on the summer agenda.
