The perfect summer day is breakfast in a small Colorado town followed by a bike ride on the Bear Creek Trail.
Of course every silver lining is filled with a dark cloud, and here’s Bear Creek’s dark cloud. It can be a very confusing trail to follow… especially in the first couple miles. Now back to the silver lining; even if you get lost, you’ll probably end up on another great trail and still have a wonderful ride.
The other not-so-good type information I have is that, unlike most of the trails on this website, you will spend some time on a road. Fortunately, the road is a local access, park road with very little traffic.
Anyway, after a great breakfast in Morrison, CO and a great ride on the Bear Creek Trail, you can have lunch in Denver, because this trail connects with the South Platte River Trail which gives you access to Denver, Chatfield Reservoir, and eventually the Clear Creek Trail which ultimately could lead your right back to Golden, then Morrison again. This is one of the many loop rides in the Denver, Colorado area.
