This trail is also called the Meyers Gulch Trail and is part of the Walker Ranch Open Space southwest of Boulder, Colorado.
It can be reached by driving west on Baseline Road. Once you reach Chataqua Park on the southwest corner of Boulder, the road starts to climb the foothill mountains and changes name to Flagstaff Road. Continue up this road until you reach the top. It’s a crooked and steep drive.
Once you reach the top and start going down, start looking on your right for a sign indicating that you have reached Meyers Homestead Trail.
This trail is a nice hike or mountain bike ride. It has little shade, so make sure to use sunscreen.
If you are hiking or biking with children, be sure to pick up a brochure at the trailhead that will allow the youngsters to be trail detectives in the Meyers Homestead at Walker Ranch Nature Detectives Club.
The trail is a total of 5.2 miles, out-and-back.
Watch for elk in the spring and fall.
