After the Cherry Festival, I checked out a freshly paved trail, the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail (SBHT). It was a good ride with very smooth pavement the entire way, and scenic for most of it. Of course the best part is that it goes right up to the dune climb at Sleeping Bear, where I trikked around the parking lot, and back out. I didn’t have time to climb the dune; It may be a good group outing to combine trikking with climbing the dune sometime though.. Also stopped in Glen Haven, right at the shore. There were quite a few people checking out the new trail with bikes and skates, etc, but it was not too congested. I got many comments and questions about the trikke. I was moving at a decent average pace fairly easily thanks to the smooth surface.
