Cherry Creek Trail

Cherry Creek Trail, in Denver, Colorado, has it all. It is the quintessential urban trail that runs from Confluence Park, in the heart of Denver, to Cherry Creek Reservoir in the southern suburbs. No bike? No problem!!

You can easily rent one of Denver’s B-bikes from numerous locations in the downtown area.  If you get hungry on the trail you can eat from a hot dog vendor in the park or from a restaurant in Cherry Creek Mall. If you want to rest, the trail passes through about a half dozen parks as it follows Cherry Creek through the city and into the surrounding neighborhoods.

If you’re up for a longer ride, you can do either a southwest loop or a northwest loop by connecting other paths such as Platte River Trail, Sand Creek Trail, 470 Trail, or the Highline Canal Trail. And not far from the trail, you’ll find such Denver pastimes as Tattered Cover Bookstore, Sixteenth Street Mall, Riverside Park, Union Station, Cherry Creek Dam and Reservoir, Pioneer Park, and many more worthwhile attractions.
