Munro Trail

Getting to the Munro Trail is half the adventure. What other trail allows you to fly to Maui, take a ferry to Lanai, then take a resort shuttle to the trail? This same adventurous transportation scheme is also what keep Munro Trail so isolated. Only the most enthusiastic trail fans are willing to take such (adventurous, enjoyable, travelicious) lengths to enjoy a fantastic bike trail.

At only 12 miles long, the Munro Trail is one of the shortest you’ll find in this book. And it’s also one of the only dirt trails in the book. But all the bonuses that come with the trail, it was a no-brainer to include it in our list of 50 Greatest Bike Trail. The entire island of Lanai can be considered an extended bike trail with miles and miles of nearly empty roads, beach trails and 4 x 4 trails, Lanai is your own biking playground.
