The Swansea Bike Path can be connected with the Clyne Valley Country Park Trail and/or the Swansea Valley Trail 43 for a much longer ride if you prefer. But this ride is wonderful for families or beach bums. It’s mostly flat as a pancake and cooled by refreshing sea breezes. Ride along Swansea Bay and be sure to stop for ice cream or a Welsh snack at one of the restaurants or trailside vendors. You have food & entertainment options at either end of the trail in Swansea or the Mumbles plus some other choices along the way.
Since you’ll have plenty of time to ride this trail and partake in other Swansea area attractions, consider visiting Singleton Park located near the trail. You could also make a detour, once you get to the Mumbles, to Oystermouth Castle. If you have more time in Swansea, be sure to utilize the wonderful public transportation system to visit the Gower Peninsula for one of the many seaside rambles (hikes). Be sure to take a camera, because the sheep, flowers and beaches are all very photogenic.
