This hike extends throughout the mountainous Verde Valley. The Tuzigoot National Monument is the easiest hike and can even be accessed by car and/or off-road vehicles. Trailheads are scattered throughout Dead Horse State Park and Sycamore Creek and Sycamore Canyon.
Some of the trail is only accessible by off-road vehicles. Speed limits are posted to ensure safety for all visitors. Renting 4×4 vehicles or ATVs is common and available through various means online or in-house.
